Best Fishes

Okay so obviously I have been creating for the last little while.  I have to say it's been so nice to just make fun stuff.    Today I am sharing another card.  Cards, it's what I do.  So here you go:

 

This card took me a while to put together.  I am talking days.  I had this vision in my head and it just didn't come out the way I wanted the first few tries.  So I set it aside, went on vacation and came back to it.  

Here are the instructions for this card.

1.  Make card from cardstock, stamp sentiment and set aside.

2.  Using a mask and an ink blending tool, apply Salty Ocean Distress Ink onto the cardstock.

3.  Remove mask and apply light layer of Salty Ocean over the the created image and trim.

4.  Stamp seaweed and bubbles onto the water image panel.

5.  Stamp all images and color with copics.  

6.  Apply glitter to the fish and adhere to the water image with foam adhesive.

7.  Adhere water panel with foam adhesive to the card and adhere sequins to finish.

You're So Cool & a Giveaway!

Happy Wednesday!   Well today I wanted to share a card I whipped up this morning.  I got up early and wanted to do something crafty.  Shocking I know.   I checked the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge and it is an anything goes challenge.   I hadn't busted into my August Kit yet, so I did just that.   I love this kit.  So summery and fun!    Here is what I came up with:

 

I busted out the trusty ol Copics for this.  I love my Copics.  I need more of them too.  Go figure.  Anywho, I just stamped the images and sentiment onto a piece of cardstock.  I then colored the images.  Super easy.  When I was finished I trimmed the piece and adhered it to the card with foam adhesive.  I then adhered sequins to it to finish it off.   Fun huh!?!

 

Well now here is the fun part, I sometimes get so excited when I order from a new Simon Says Stamp release that I double up on things.  I know.  It drives me crazy.   But that is okay.  Even better for you!  I am going to give away the ice cream cone die.  Here is what it looks like:

Post Numero Dos

So yes I am posting twice today.  YAY ME!!  If you read my blog, you know I am a HUGE Simon Says Stamp fan.  I love their stamps, dies and oh everything!!  They happen to have two challenge blogs.  The Monday Challenge blog and the Wednesday Challenge blog.  Well I decided to play along with Wednesday's challenge.  I was up in the mountains and I always bring some scrappy stuff.   This challenge was embossing.  Dry, wet, whatever.   I happened to throw in some Wendy Vecchi Embossing paste into my bag.  Well FABULOUS!  So I got out my stuff and went to work.  Here is what came of it:

 

I mixed the embossing paste with some Worn Lipstick Distress Ink and then put it on the Falling Hearts Stencil.   I let that dry and trimmed it down.  Becuase I brought no color cardstock or patterned paper with me, I used my ink blender and blended Worn Lipstick on the edges of the card.  I then adhereed the embossed panel to the card.   I then stamped and trimmed the banner and adhered it with foam adhesive.  I also stamped the heart again with Worn Lipstick and then lightly blended it with the same ink.  I cut it out, adhered it with foam adhesive and then used my Wink of Stella brush to give it some fun sparkles.  I really like how this turned out!  Thanks for stopping by!!  See you all tomorrow!!

Fun stuff!

So today I am sharing a card I made last week.  I got my ever fabulous kit from Simon Says Stamp and I couldn't wait to play.  Here is what I made!

 

 

First I masked off the edges of the card and used my Ink blender tool and inked up the card with Broken China Distress Ink.  Then I stamped the sentiment onto the card.  I stamped the envelope image, trimmed it out and adhered it to the card with 3D Foam Squares.  I die cut the heart and adhered it to the envelope image.  I added Wink of Stella Clear to the words and the heart to finish it off.  I love this card!!!   Enjoy!
