April Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday

 Hey there!!  So today I am super excited to be hopping with the Technique Tuesday Studio AE group!   How fun is this set!?!

 

 

For my card I decided to keep things simple.  Pretty and simple.  Here it is:

 

I used watercolor crayons and my stamping block to create this look.  I then die cut it using the story card die from Technique Tuesday.  I stamped the sentiment and adhered it to the white cardstock with foam adhesive.  You can't tell in this photo but it is covered with glitter.   Here is a close up:

Simon Says Stamp Mothers & Fathers 2014 Release!

Okay so I received some fun mail and this beauty of a die was inside:

 

So much fun!  I set to work and this is what I created:

I cut the the die out of vellum and then colored it on the back with my Copics.   I love that watercolored look.  It just makes me happy!  I adhered it to my card with my favorite wet glue pen.  The QuickieGlue pen by Sakura. 

 

I then took my Wink of Stella clear glitter brush and covered the flowers.

 

 

That photo doesnt show it too well, but I promise, it's there.  I then stamped my sentiment in Picked Raspberry Distress Ink.  I just love the color of it.  I then went over that with my Wink of Stella pen.  I knew that it would react slightly as that is what Distress Ink does.  I counted on a slight bleed of the ink to go with the watercolor effect of the colored die.

I then popped up the sentiment with Small 3D Foam Squares.  I just love the overall look of the card.  Sigh...

Royalty in Waiting...

So as the winners of Stamping Royalty have been announced this week, I thought I would share my entries.  As you know I did not make it, but you know what?  That's totally okay.  You know why?  Because it inspired me to do some of my best work ever and I just had a blast creating.   Keep in mind this is just a contest and it does NOT define me.  I don't have a crown, but I'll just borrow my girl Teri's.  She'll dust it off for me (it's been a LOOOOONG time).   Here are two of the cards I created for this contest:

April Avocado Arts Release!

Okay so I am a bit happy about today's release.  Firstly I get to be the first one to showcase the stamps sets at the beginning of each month.  So yeah, good times.  This month I get to share in the excitement as my 2nd stamp set I have designed is released.   It is called When & Where.  

 

Well I like it and I hope you do too!  Here is what I created with it:

I used Distress Watercolor Paper and some Distress markers to create the effect.  I am pretty happy with how it turned out.   Be sure to hit up the Avocado Arts Blog to see my full reveal of both stamp sets!!  Have a great Tuesady!!  Oh and you still have time left to enter the giveaway below!
