Becky Fleck was having a contest over at her great sketch site PageMaps. So I entered and this is what I entered. Now I am posting this feeling quite confident I was not a winner. The winners were to be notified no later than Wednesday, so I am okay. I love how this turned out. The colors just drew me in. Ahhh, just makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Okay so I am the designated pie maker for holiday dinners. And quite frankly until this year I had quite dreaded it. Just because I knew I would be re-rolling out pie crusts until I cried into the dough. Not so this Thanksgiving! For some reason it has taken me 6-7 years to figure out that rolling your dough out on wax paper is the way to go! Not once did I have to re-roll and my crusts all turned out perfectly as did the pies! I mean pumpkin pie without spillage over the crust??!! What is going on here! I made a cherry pie too. I tried to be creative with the top crust but it didn't align up properly so that is why it looks the way it does. So here is what all 4 pumpkin pies looked like and the cherry one too. Now they are distant, yet fond memories, but hey at least I preserved them as best I could. Have a fabulous day!
I just wanted to share this card that I made last night. I was really in need of some long awaited creating. It was just ready to jump out of me. I can't really explain it and you would probably think I was crazy if I could. But anywho, this card is based on the sketch over at CPS. The beginning of another week. I love that the beginning of the week starts out with a good, slow, restful day. Where I go to church and enjoy the things that I learned. Where I grow closer to my family and to my Savior. Good stuff!
I wanted to share something that happened last night. Scott was reading to Andrew from the Friend. It was the story of the 10 lepers. Scott asked Andrew if he knew what a leper was and Andrew quickly said, "They look like Cheetahs." How seriously cute and hilarious is that!!! So since they were sitting at the computer at the time, Scott pulled up Wikipedia and looked up leprosy and taught Andrew what it was.
Well I wanted to post this today. I finished this last night for the CPS card. I really like how it turned out. I hope everyone has a wonderful and restful Sunday.

Yep, another card. I bet y'all get tired of my cards, but for some reason I never get tired of making them. Well this one I made a few days ago. I get in a stamping mood sometimes and this is what came of it this time. Thanks for stoppin' by.
Well today will be filled with cleaning. It's amazing what happens when you let your work go for a few days! Crazy insanity!!!! So hopefully I will get it under control and be able to relax a bit. In the meantime I thought I would share what I made on Friday. This is a card I made for Melissa Phillips' challenge over on her blog.
