Scrap Time

Okay so today I was really feeling the need to get a layout done.  Not a card, a layout.  So I had these pictures pulled out for a while and was really wanting to scrap them.  They are on the dark side, so I wanted to put them on bright paper to pull them out.  Not sure I accomplished that, but I like the way this one came out.  TOO CUTE!  The picture of it leaves much to be desired, but you get the idea. TFL!

Here is my take on the sketch challenge over at Card Studio Designs.  TFL!  Now I am off to get the kids ready for church.  Andrew has his primary program today and his part is memorized.  I am sure it will be great!

Maybe when I die..

the cleaning will stop.  LOL!  It is never ending.  ARG!   Oh well.  Here is a card I made based on the sketch at CPS.  I think it turned out pretty well.  Very simple too!

C is for Cleaning and Card Making!

So I cleaned up my scrap space yesterday.  It totally needed it.  I then proceeded to make a very simple card based on the Sketch This: Cards #29.  Here is how it turned out.  TFL!

We're Back!!

Wow what a long but fun trip!  You heard about the Sea World and church so far.   Here are some pictures.  Oh and I met my great friend Peggy there and had a great time seeing her and Kyler and Kendra.  Fun stuff!

Then on Monday we went to Del Mar beach.  It was cold but fun.  For some reason I didn't put my kids in their swim suits.  Huh, that might have been a good idea.  Oh well.  Live and learn.  We then went to the Wild Animal Park.  It was alright.  I can say I've been there.

On Tuesday we went to Disneyland!  It was sooooo fun!  This is Andrew and Sarah that night.  Tired Huh.

Wednesday we went to Universal Studios. It was fun, but I don't have any pictures as I forgot my camera.  Good thing there were a lot of us on this trip so there will be pictures from the other members of the family.  Thursday we went to Disneyland and California Adventures.  Good stuff!
Friday was spent going to Disneyland and California Adventures then back to Disneyland.  Can I just say I love that place!! 

All the girls: Me, Sarah, Betsy, Jeanine, Kyla, Regan, McKinley, and Kennedy (oh and Ryan) went to Ariel's Grotto on Friday for lunch and met all the princesses except Jasmine.  Soooo much fun!  Sarah was on cloud 9 for sure!!

I have so many more pictures but can't share them all.  Too many!  Well we all are home and now are fighting pretty nasty colds that we got on the trip.  Basically all of us that went got sick.  Well I hope this finds you well and I will do my best to get my house and life back to normal.  Have a fantastic day!

Oh I forgot!  Andrew was chosen to be part of the Jedi Training at Disneyland and he got to fight Darth Vader.   How cool was that!  We have it all on video too!  WOO HOO!

San Diego!

So we made it to San Diego around midnight on Friday night.  Let me recommend to all you mothers out there that you purchase a portable potty for your girls.  Seriously we all know why.  When there is no rest area and your 3 yr old girl says she has to go potty fast, there will be no random road stops.  There will be no wind whipping liquid onto your pants as you are helping her do her thing.  There will be no wet underwear and pants due to the inconvenient angle of our plumbing.  We have one of these beautiful portable potty things and did not think to bring it.   Huh.  First item on the list for a trip this long for next time.

Sea World was great.  I love it.  I think my favorite things are the dolphin discovery, feeding the dolphins and Shamu shows.  We were able to see Shamu Rocks and it truly Rocks!  I loved it.  My kids liked it up until the moment they fell asleep.  Ryan took about 5 minutes into it and then Sarah about half way through.  It was good and made for a good time.

We  went to church this morning.  I loved it.  We went to a small ward here in San Diego.  I love that no matter where you go, you have the same lesson you would in your own ward. The people there were super friendly too.  Just love coming home feeling spiritually fed and uplifted. 

Tomorrow we are off to the beach and the Wild Animal Park.  I don't know which one will be first but it will be fun.  Maybe I can find a way to post pictures by then.  We will see!  Hope you all are doing splendidly!  TTFN!

Super Lame

Okay I know I have been super lame and haven't updated my blog lately, but there has been a good reason.  Well a few hundred reasons actually and frankly I don't want to list them all.  Let's just say I am getting ready for an eight day long, anxiously anticipated, glorious vacation.  I will definitely need it after preparing for the thing!  I mean face it, how many of us wait until the last minute to get everything done.  You don't??  Okay so it is just me.  I mean I kill myself trying to get everything packed, the house clean and keeping the family happy. 

Anywho, want to give a shout out to our friends Adam and Abby!  We ran in to them at the gas station on Tuesday night.  We haven't seen them in forever as they live out in the far west valley.  We sure miss them though!

Well it is almost 1am and I have a ton of folding and dishes and mopping to do, so I will catch you all latah!

A Week From Today...

I can tell you that Scott and I are pretty dang excited!!!  We will be going with Bryan and Kyla and their girls.  Ken and Betsy and  Jeanine!!   We haven't even told the kiddos yet.  Scott thought it would be more exciting to tell them as we are in the van and already on the way. Which means we basically have to have the van packed before Andrew gets home from school that day so he doesn't suspect.   Needless to say we are counting down the day to when we leave for 8 glorious days in So. Cal.  Fun stuff!!

Baby Album

Well I have been working on this since mid June.  I should say I started this mid June and it has sat up on a shelf since then.  Until today.  Yesterday I went and bought some really cute Melissa Frances stickers that went perfectly with the paper and tabs.  I started it back up and  finished it this morning. It is very simple.  Just add photos and journal on the blank pages.  Easy, huh?  Here it is.  I don't have the whole thing photographed, that would have been quite  few pictures and so I will just give you a few.  TFL!
