Okay so a lot of you know that I am an instructor for Coupon Sense.   Or some of you don't.  Either way I love Coupon Sense because I get to save a ton of money!!  Seriously.   I teach people how to do this!  Anywho, I went to Albertson's today and this is what I got:

Makenzie Moore Needs You!

This sweet little girl was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor a little over a year ago and the financial burden of her medical bills has been huge.   Her aunt is the owner of a scrapbooking store out in Surprise, AZ called Keepsake Trends, . They are trying to raise money to cover  Makenzie’s treatments. The fundraiser is very unique and soooo great!  You can donate a $10 and get your name in a drawing to win a crop  with BECKY HIGGINS!!! Becky has volunteerd her time to help Makenzie and her family in this huge undertaking…..PLEASE HELP!

Major Inspiration

Started..

Well I started on my goals and have done pretty well considering it's only been a couple of days.   I started a new book, cleaned my house yesterday, getting some cards ready to send out, did my 2miles in 30 min walk today on the treadmill, so far so good.  Gotta get my scriptures in soon and hopefully there will be time at the park today as it is supposed to rain tomorrow.  I will be taking my camera with me so that gives me the whole take better pictures thing and I will have them printed to be scrapped!  Wow!  Amazing how things just fit together.  I will probably post more later as the day goes by. 

The Past comes back to you.

So lately I have been thinking a lot about my past.  I am not originally from AZ.  I grew up in a very small town in Eastern Washington.  I loved it.  It was a desert, but a green desert due to irrigation from the river.  My stake had a pretty big boundaries, considering I had to travel 45 minutes to get to Stake Conference or to a Stake dance.  For those of you who are not LDS (mormon) this may be confusing.  Sorry about that.  Well anyways, as a teenager I dated a boy from "town" and got to know other kids from "town" as well.  They were great and so nice and I loved hanging out with them at dances and on group dates as well.   Time went by and this boy and I stopped dating but remained friends, we both went to college, he to BYU and then on a mission and I to Ricks.   Anywho, I married the love of my life and moved to AZ in August of 2000.  So almost 7 years. 

Recently, I have run into at least 5 people from my home stake that were part of the "town" kids.  CRAZY!!!  I thought I was here by myself.  Turns out I am not.  I am a little anxious about the whole thing.  I am not the same person as I was in High School.  Not the athlete so much anymore, the heart is there but not the body, LOL!  Soon though I hope.   

Turns out here are more out here than the 5 I mentioned.  So I have decided to hold a reunion of sorts.  Invite all those from my home stake that live here in AZ now to come to a scrapping crop or just a good 'ol get together.  I am not sure who will come if anyone, but I thought it would be fun to reminisce and catch up on the last 10 years or so.  I will keep you posted if this actually happens.

This was just on my mind as I ran into someone today I haven't seen since I graduated High School.  And of all days I choose to let my hair fro and go make-up less.  Huh, just my luck.

My Goals in the next 2 months

Okay I know that this is an odd time to start goals.  I mean we are nearing the end of the month for cryin out loud!  But I say better late than never.

Now these are in complete random order.

• read 5 new books
• read my scriptures every morning
• be a better mom and wife
• lose 10 lbs
• keep my house organized
• take better pictures of my family
• scrapbook at least 10 pages a month
• spend more time at the park on good days
• send at least one card out to a friend a week

Childhood TV Memories

So Scott and I were reminiscing the other night about what we watched growing up.  Well a couple of months ago, I was at the library with my kids and they had Ducktales on DVD!  So I convinced Andrew to check it out and now he loves them and he got some for his birthday last week.  So fun.

Well like I said Scott and I were talking and here is a list we came up with.  Thundercats!!  Love them!  Snarf Snarf.   Greatest American Hero, sing the theme song!!  Believe it or not I'm walkin on air, I never thought I could feel so freeeeee!  I know sad.  The list goes on, Airwolf, MacGuyver, The Fall Guy, A-Team, Knight Rider.  Such good  classic shows.  Good times!

Rub a Dub Dub Kids In the Tub!

Okay so I have to admit I am one of those parents that go looking for a photo opportunity.  When kids are taking a bath, some of the best times can be had.  Mostly by them because I end up cleaning all the water off the tile at the end of it.  So I grabbed my camera and took some cute pictures. 

Look Who's 5!!!

Yes that would be my oldest, Andrew.  Looking back at all the things he has gone through he is one amazing kid.  4 surgeries, dental torture and he still smiles all the time.  Man I love this kid!  He is so eager to learn.  He loves going to church to learn about the gospel.  Every time I hear him ask what we are doing for Family Home Evening, it just makes me smile and for a brief moment I think I am doing something right.  Andrew, Happy Birthday!  You have brought so much joy to us!  Love you Biggest!
