Look here! I am super excited about this today. GCD Studios Guest Designer. I got to play with some super yummy stuff and I loved it! Here is one of the cards that I created. This one just makes me happy.
Okay so I have to tell this story from the beginning. I started this quilt and was super excited about it. I got it all pieced, sandwiched, and then started to quilt it. I got it all done when I realized it didn't look so great as I didn't use my walking foot. So being the crazy persnickity person that I am, I picked it all out and quilted it again. I got that finished and I bound it. It was my first start to finish quilt ever! It looked sooooo good! Sadly I didn't take pictures of it before I washed it. Well, wash it I did. To my horror, parts of it unraveled/frayed in the wash. I mean it was bad. I cried and cried. So I set it aside for a few days not wanting to look at it. Well I picked it up again. I took off the binding, undid the quilting and took apart the quilt top. I fixed the frayed parts, redid an entire block (which I had to piece part of it due to lack of fabric length) and put the top back together. I tried to use the old batting and backing but it shrank too much. So, I pieced together a backing only to find I didn't measure properly and had to add more to it. So I put it on new batting, and sandwiched the thing. I quilted it and noticed that my cutting wasn't all that great on the back, but totally didn't care. I bound the thing and here it is. After taking the photos I washed it and it survived!!!! I love it. Even with it's quirks and mistakes. I hope the person receiving it enjoys it!!

Alright, so this is exciting for me. I got my first LO accepted for publication about 2 years ago. However, the actual publication wasn't released until this summer. It was worth the wait. Here is the layout that I have in this fabulous book.
